DESCRIPTION:MACAE will be hosting an ESL webinar on “Empowering Language Learners Through Differentiated Instruction” on Friday\, January 17 at 9 a.m. This session will explore the transformative impact of differentiated instruction (DI) in second language acquisition. Participants will learn about DI principles\, including flexible grouping\, tiered assignments\, and personalized learning paths\, shown to enhance student engagement and language proficiency. During the session\, we will also be discussing integrating technology to support DI by using digital tools to create adaptive learning environments tailored to individual student needs. Participants will gain insights and practical tools to enhance their teaching practice\, fostering more inclusive and effective language learning environments. \nPraew Bupphachuen\, ESOL Teacher\, at the Refugee Development Center in Lansing will be the main presenter. Praew recently received her Master’s degree in TESOL from Michigan State University and has seven years of experience in the field of language teaching. \nParticipants will have the chance to receive 1 SCECH for attending this session.
