Be Part of Michigan’s Adult Literacy Conversation
March is Reading Month and an ideal time to strengthen our collective literacy practice. On Thursday, March 12, MACAE will host its first Adult Literacy Summit from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Livingston Educational Service Agency (1425 West Grand River Ave., Howell, MI 48843).
This one-day professional development event will bring together adult literacy professionals from across the state to explore strategies in fund development, advocacy with donors and partners, data storytelling, grants and sponsorships, tutor training, volunteer recruitment, and building effective collaboratives. Participants may earn up to 4.75 SCECHs for attending.
The summit will feature a general session presentation from Michael Evans, Chair of MACAE’s Adult Basic Education/Literacy Committee, offering insights from one of Michigan’s leading literacy organizations.
Registration is now open. Space is limited. We encourage you and members of your team to attend.
