We are looking for adult learners to join our Learner Advisory Council. This group of past and current adult learners will speak for the needs of learners across the state. They will work with the MACAE Board of Directors to talk with lawmakers, partners, and community members. Your leadership and experience will help make education better for adult learners.

  1. Advocacy: Be a voice for the needs of adult learners in Michigan. Work with local, state, and federal lawmakers to make good decisions for adult education programs.
  2. Collaboration: Work with other adult learners, community leaders, and educators across the state to build one voice for adult education.
  3. Board Representation: Share your thoughts with the MACAE Board of Directors when asked.
  4. Leadership: Act as a leader in the adult education community. Raise awareness about adult learner challenges and goals.
  5. Peer Support: Help other adult learners by sharing your experiences. Be a mentor for the adult education community.
