Loading Events

Cost:

Free for all MACAE Member Program Staff; $50 for Non-Members; Designed primarily for Program Directors/Coordinators and Data/Administrative Staff but all educators interested in adult education data are welcome to attend as well.

Description:

This session will be focused on the importance of data and how to use currently available resources to improve Adult Education program data management, monitoring, and entry methods. Participants will be (re)introduced to some tools, guides, and reports before taking some time to practice utilizing them to help evaluate their own program data. There will also be multiple opportunities to share program-specific difficulties related to data and solicit potential strategies for how to deal with them.

**Note: To get the most out of this session, participants will want to make sure they have access to either their own MAERS account or attend with someone else from their program who has one. It may also be helpful to have access to any other systems where program data is recorded/stored as well.**

Facilitator:

Joel Render is the Adult/Alternative Education Specialist for Livingston Educational Service Agency. Amongst several other duties, he has been the primary data manager for the Livingston ESA Adult Education program for 9+ years. In addition, he is currently the MACAE Region G (Prosperity Region 9) Representative and the Data Chair on the MACAE Board of Directors.
