Jennifer Nemecek
Jennifer (Jenn) is a seasoned professional with over 11 years of experience in ESL teaching and 8 years in educational and non-profit management. She graduated from Spring Arbor University with her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. Currently serving as the Executive Director of the Michigan Adult, Community, and Alternative Education Association (MACAE), she previously held the position of Chief Academic Director at Maximo Nivel, overseeing ESL, Spanish, Service Learning, and TEFL Certification programs in Guatemala, Costa Rica, Peru, and Online. Jennifer’s advocacy efforts have led to significant funding achievements, including securing $19.2 million for the Pinellas County Affordable Housing Trust Fund. Fluent in English and Spanish, she has recently returned to live in her hometown of Jackson, Michigan, with her husband, Maynor, and her twelve year-old son, Riley. Jacquelen (Jackie) attended Clio High School and obtained her bachelor’s degree in marketing and management from Saginaw Valley State University in 2007. Jacquelen has built a decade-long career in communications and strategic business management while serving in leadership roles with the Michigan Legislature, Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioners, Michigan Association of Broadcasters and Muscular Dystrophy Association. She earned her CAE status from the American Society of Association Executives Center for Association Leadership in 2021. Jacquelen lives in Bath, MI with her husband John, daughter Leah, and new baby Henry.
